Every Fred. Olsen ship has a dedicated and specialist Galley Team dedicated to producing delicious meals, drinks and treats for our guests.

Every day this specialist team bake fresh bread, create mouthwatering dishes, devise new menus, develop lovely cocktails, aperitifs and after-dinner drinks, as well as serving up wonderful pastries, cakes and chocolates.

Every cup of coffee or tea from our Bookmark Café is served with a freshly baked shortbread biscuit or delicate macaroon.

Our Elegant Main Restaurants

Each of our ships has two or three beautifully appointed main restaurants. Here we serve delicious breakfasts as well as sumptuous five-course à la carte dinners every evening. During the day the dress code in all restaurants is casual. The evenings are usually smart-casual, apart from Formal Nights where everyone likes to dress up – cocktail dresses and black tie.

Colours And Tastes

Colours and Tastes is our elegant new restaurant that specialises in Asian Fusion food. The food is fresh and fascinating –dim sum, seafood and delicately spiced meats, bright stir-fries and colourful signature dishes from China, Japan, Thailand and the Philippines.

Vasco

Vasco is our speciality Goan restaurant serving an absolutely delicious take on Indian food. Named after the Portuguese explorer Vasco de Gama – the first European to reach India by sea – the menu has been designed by our chefs from Goa. Here, the culinary traditions blend the warmth and spices of India with European – and particularly Portuguese – influences. The result is a style of Indian food that centres on delicious grilled meat and seafood with fresh, bright, modern spicing.

Buffet Restaurant

For those who feel they would prefer a more relaxed experience, we have a brilliant buffet restaurant on each ship (The View on Bolette and Borealis and Palms Café on Balmoral ). Each buffet restaurant really does serve an absolute feast of delicious dishes every day. It is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well as for a tasty and complimentary afternoon tea with sandwiches, scones and cakes – all baked freshly on board.
