WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT OUR ITINERARIES

Our way of developing itineraries is rather different from that of others in the cruise industry and it begins years before the cruise even sets sail.

Our Journey Planners start their process months in advance by looking at what's happening in the world... What’s opening up? What’s coming up? Where could we go that gets off the beaten tourist track to show our guests something they haven’t seen before? What waters could we sail? What islands could we take in? What’s the very best time of year to visit certain places to catch the leaves, or see the stars, or take in a beautiful wildlife migration?

Because we sail smaller ships we are lucky enough to be able to travel different routes and get in to waters that others can’t, often reaching places some lines can’t get to.

Each year, we create a whole new programme of itineraries on that basis, designed especially to travel new routes and waterways or take-in special events or phenomena happening in the world.

Our Journey Planners also put a lot of time and thought into ‘scenic cruising’– seeking out the most interesting coastlines and beautiful sites. We love to visit incredible islands or sail epic waterways or get up close to spectacular coastal scenery.

In our home waters of Norway, we like nothing more than showcasing the incredible and intricate beauty of the fjords. With our deep knowledge of this country’s history and coastline, we can deliver a fjord experience that’s so much more informed and imaginative than most.

We are very proud that, as a result of the effort and specialism we give to itinerary planning, we have been voted Best for Itineraries five times by Cruise Critic.

On the next page, we have pulled out what we think are some of the really exciting and special itinerary highlights that we have coming up for 2024 and 2025.
