© Château Siran

In Médoc, the Château Siran re-opens its doors to visitors

Located to the south of the Margaux appellation, the Château Siran boasts exceptional land which is well suited for growing great wines. Owned by the same

family since 1859, the castle was taken over by Edouard Miailhe in 2007, who represents the fifth generation, at the head of the domain. After having been closed to the public for three years, it re-opened its doors to share the areas once again, with wine lovers. Visits conducted in both French and English are scheduled daily. The visits last approximately one hour. After a presentation focusing on the history of the property, you will be able to discover the wine-making process. The visit is followed by a visit to the former fermenting room, the barrel wine storehouse and is finished off with a tasting session. For groups of less than six people, it is possible to discover

the «bunker» in which all the Château Siran vintage wines and the private collection of the Miailhe family, are stored. The castle also offers an organised/tasting visit followed by a traditional French meal at the «La Gare Gourmande» restaurant with the option of bringing your selected bottle of wine. Prices: €6 individuals/€4 group (minimum of 10 persons). Visit: without booking from April - October, at 3.00 p.m., from Tuesday to Saturday. With booking for the rest of the year.
