The new Berry’s Own Selection Côtes du Rhône is from the superlative 2010 vintage. The wine is a special blend, made in conjunction with la Famille Perrin, all from Domaine fruit, with equal shares of Syrah and Grenache. An elegant, elegant wine.

New Zealand’s brisk maritime climate, long sunny days and free draining soils are ideal for Sauvignon Blanc. Winemaker Hermann Seifried marries soil, climate and grape variety to emphasise the ‘terroir’ of his vinyards. Aromas of ripe gooseberries, nettle and mown grass precede a crisp and bone-dry palate, where tropical fruit is superbly balanced by a lovely freshness. Delicious.

Family-owned Antech are the most prestigious producer in Limoux and Berry’s have worked exclusively with Françoise Antech, from the sixth generation of the family, to craft this wonderful bubbly. With a blend of Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Mauzac this is a beautiful balanced wine with elegant aromas of orchard fruit and honeyed spice. It’s palate marries more exotic fruits with a clean, pebbly backdrop which gives an impressive depth of flavour.

Berry Bros & Rudd was established in 1698 at 3 St James’s Street, London and is still owned and managed by the Berry family. Berry’s first supplied wine to the British Royal Family during King George III’s reign (about the same time Hall & Woodhouse started supplying beer to the Duke of Wellington’s troops…). Today, Berry’s holds two Royal Warrants for H.M. the Queen and H.R.H. The Prince of Wales.
