CRJ Services Expands its Stores to Meet Parts Demand

Thanks to the growth we have seen in the CRJ Parts division, we have expanded our stores capacity to 5000 sq. ft, three times the size of the previous facility.

Over recent years, CRJ Services has experienced sustained growth of both our hire and parts business. Our hire fleet has recently reached 100 machines, and with the addition of water baths, conveyors and new generation machines to the fleet, the space requirement to house these spare and wear parts has grown.

Aside from the increased range of machinery in our fleet, we have also seen significant growth in our part sales, and in the product lines we stock. The new product lines allow us to further support our customers with a more comprehensive parts offering to suit many of the top OEM brands of recycling and waste management machinery.

We now offer our customers a range of belts, breaker bars, brushes, counter combs, end roller magnets, filter kits, gates, hammers, lubrication elements, motors, overband magnets, remote controls, rollers, shredding blades, shredding shafts, teeth and trommel drums.

The recent expansion has required additional investment in lifting and picking equipment. CRJ Services has purchased a new Aisle Master forklift truck, and a LLOP electric order

picker to assist the stores team in managing the new stores capacity. Investing in new green technology is always at the forefront of our strategy, and these new purchases continue this trend.

In addition to the new facility, we have expanded our stores team. As well as hiring additional stores assistants and administrators, we are now also offering apprenticeship positions. These new positions will help our parts division to operate more efficiently, helping our engineers to turnaround machines quickly for our hire fleet, and speeding up the delivery of parts to our customers. It also helps provide employment and knowledge development within our area. Not only does this help provide employment opportunities, the scheme enables a pathway for knowledge and skills development within the business.

This extensive investment has been made to expand the scope of our offering and to improve our service levels for our customers. Importantly it also positions our Parts division with scope to expand, in line with CRJ Services overall growth strategy.
