CRJ Services Hit Milestone of 100 Hire Fleet Machines

In the last edition of Circular, we celebrated the sale of the 100th HAAS TYRON into the UK and Ireland, and we have now hit another machinery milestone. CRJ Services has come a long way since our first hire of a Doppstadt AK430, to Manchester Waste, back in 2002. Millions of tonnes of waste processed later, and CRJ Services is celebrating adding the 100th active machine to our hire fleet.

The CRJ Services Hire fleet came into existence 20 years ago when its primary business was processing green waste for local authorities. We began hiring out our processing machinery during the green waste off season, marking the beginning of the CRJ Services Hire fleet. As we won more green waste processing contracts, the fleet of machinery grew to a size where the hiring out of the machinery was becoming more popular and overtook the green waste processing as our main business activity.

CRJ Services was in the unique position of being both a machine operator and supplier. This experience has been key in the development of our supporting services and infrastructure, as we have been able to tailor our services to meet the needs of our clients, knowing first-hand the challenges they face. As a result, our back-up support, technical know-how, and understanding of the waste and recycling industries are all aspects of the business which have

scaled up in line with the number of machines within the fleet in which we operate.

As the hire fleet increased, CRJ Services began to introduce different types of machines with the aim of being able to supply waste management companies with all mobile processing machinery they may require. The current hire fleet is now home to trommel and deck screeners, slow- and high-speed shredders, picking stations, eddy current separators, density separators, water baths and conveyors.
