Being creative is not so much the desire to do something, as the listening to that which wants to be done. Anni Alberts

EXPERIMENTAL TEXTILES In this adventure of a close knowledge of the things the world is made of, the manifestations of an experimental nature, in which the questions always remain open, represent the right context for material innovation and finding meaning, being a process by which we return to the material itself, to its initial state and from there we participate in its stages of change.

TEXTILE JEWELS Nest is a collection of textile jewelry that explore hybrid shapes inspired by the delicate eggshell structure. This series reinterprets and reinvents natural structures using the textile environment, exploring old craft processes, new technologies and unconventional materials. The result is a collection of unique pieces and experiments for future editions, which combine handcolored wadding-linen, cellulose, resin and copper yarn. Nest was presented as part of the semester exhibition of the second year, within the MA program.

CLOTHING OBJECT Through a reconsideration of the relationships regarding colors, materials and textures, I aimed to explore new meanings in the interference between written forms, the accident and the gestural context in contemporary textile design and to find an area of mediation between them, where language and form always remain in dynamic interplay.

UNCONVENTIONAL TECHNIQUES In a world of contrasts, of a “vaporizing reality, in which one notice the dissolution of the distinction between the real and the apparent world, where the real world becomes useless and superfluous, art continues to incorporate the illusion of movement and implicitly to include a real movement.

REDESIGN The textile design emphasizes the reciprocity and complementary dialogue between the conventional materials (fibers, yarns, fabrics) and the unconventional ones (PVC, paper, wadding, polypropylene), contributing to the actual problem, in which new ideas and processes in connection with the textile design contribute to assessing relationships and everyday objects.
