WHAT IS CREDO MAGAZINE ALL ABOUT? Credo is Latin for “I believe.” From the early church Fathers to the sixteenth-century Reformers to the present-day, Christians have faithfully confessed the faith once for all delivered to the saints (Jude 1:3) over against heresy. Credo Magazine seeks to situate itself in this biblical tradition by teaching “what accords with sound doctrine” (Titus 2:1). At its core, Credo Magazine strives to be centered on the gospel, confessing the substitutionary death and historical resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ for the salvation of sinners. In doing so, Credo Magazine not only draws upon the historic creeds and confessions of the faith, but especially the great pillars of the Reformation: sola scriptura, solus Christus, sola gratia, sola fide, and soli Deo gloria. Our desire is to see biblically-grounded, Christ-exalting reformation and transformation in the church today. Credo is a free, full-color, digital magazine that is published quarterly and includes: Articles by some of the best pastors and scholars today on the most vital and pertinent issues in Christianity. Columns engaging pastoral issues in the church and monumental figures in church history. Interviews with important pastors and scholars on both their ministries and their new books. Reviews of some of the most recent books in Christian theology and literature.

We hope that by providing our magazine free of charge we can have a larger impact on the evangelical community. What are others saying about Credo Magazine? “Credo Magazine is quickly becoming a wonderful go-to resource for up-to-date interviews, book reviews, and articles. It’s really an embarrassment of riches. And best of all, the whole thing is online for free.” —Justin Taylor “This is undoubtedly the most beautiful online Christian magazine I’ve come across. Content is great too. It is a fine example of how to use technology for God’s glory.” —David Murray

The Imitation of Christ in the Gospel of Luke

THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO THE OLD TESTAMENT

Growing in Christlike Love for God and Neighbor

Although often viewed suspiciously in some church circles, the imitation of Jesus is a biblical theme with practical implications. Focusing on the gospel of Luke, Agan distinguishes between what is unique to Christ as the divine Son and what can be imitated, such as his passion for God, love for others, endurance of hardship, and self-denial.

“Designed to provide reliable exposition, biblical theology, and a focus on Christ. These books should be like manna in the desert to pastors, preachers, teachers, and many individual Christians who struggle to come to terms with how to read the Old Testament.” —Sinclair B. Ferguson
