NorthEast Ohio Neighborhood Health Services (NEON) is a community health center organization providing primary health care services to the Greater Cleveland community for close to 50 years. We are dedicated to serving adults, children and families regardless of their ability to pay. Our patients are served by health professionals in a caring environment. NEON provides a wide range of services including medical, dental, vision, podiatry, behavioral health services, X-ray, pharmacy, laboratory and transportation. Our services are designed to promote prevention, health and wellness through patient-centered care. In 2015, NEON served more than 33,000 patients including more than 9,000 children. NEON is accredited by the Joint Commission and is recognized as a Level III Patient Centered Medical Home by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Our medical and dental teams provided more than 100,000 visits in 2015. Our comprehensive Perinatal Care Program serves pregnant women and their families to provide the support needed to promote a healthy outcome. Services include OB/ GYN care, health education, social work and NEON serves individuals and families outreach to assist families with a variety of regardless of their ability to pay. needs during pregnancy and the critical first year of life. NEON is on the frontlines of reducing Cleveland’s high rates of infant mortality through promoting early access and continuing care beginning during the first trimester. NEON’s First Trimester Matters program provides outreach and key messages to patients and residents in the community about the critical importance of seeking care early in pregnancy. Beyond perinatal care, NEON offers pediatrics, adolescent care and services to adults and seniors. Prevention and chronic disease management are core approaches in our efforts to reduce health disparities in the community that we serve. Our aim is to provide quality patient-centered care to individuals of all ages. As we approach 50 years, NEON is committed to providing quality health care in its next decade of service to Greater Cleveland.
FUNDRAISING & EVENTS
NEON has a number of fundraising and community outreach events throughout the year. Fundraising events include an annual golf outing and the Jazz in Garden Gala, during which NEON honors a health care champion each year during an evening of jazz music and dining. Dr. Jackson Wright was NEON’s 2016 honoree, being recognized for his career and extensive research to improve the health of patients with high blood pressure. Proceeds from fundraising events help to benefit NEON’s mission in providing primary care to individuals in communities of need. We are entering 2017 as a year of celebration marking 50 years of health and caring for the Greater Cleveland community.
