Livingston Lures prides itself on reaching beyond the boundaries of traditional technology and providing first-of-its-kind technology to anglers all over the world. Livingston’s EBS™ sound technology is based on the natural feeding habits of fish. It’s more than just sight and noise; it’s natural sounds baitfish make. Sensing sound in the water is one of the most important attributes a fish has to locate food or to keep it from becoming food. “Besides being able to detect sounds, a critical role for hearing is to be able to discriminate between different sounds (e.g., frequency and intensity), detect biologically relevant sounds in the presence of background noises, and determine the direction and location of a sound source in the space around the animal1,” says the Effects of Mid- and High-Frequency Sonar on Fish report. We focus our technology on how fish hear and design our lures based on that science. Fish can hear in a few different ways: 1) Fish can detect sound vibrations via a lateral line system, located on either side of their body. 2) All fish have inner ears located near the brain where they pick up higher frequency sounds. 3) They also have an air-filled swim bladder that acts as a resonating chamber, producing and receiving sound.

As all fish can hear, all fish make sounds as well. When fish swim, their gill plates compress their swim bladder, which puts out sounds that entice hungry predatory fish to strike, which is what EBS Technology™ is based on. 1

The Choice of Champions Livingston Pro Randy Howell came from 11th place on the last day of the Bassmaster Classic to 1st. When it came down to the wire, Randy chose his Livingston Lure with EBS Technology™, crediting it for his recordbreaking comeback. The Livingston Lure prototype he was fishing played the EBS™ Original sound and was named the Howeller Dream Master Classic after the pro himself.

The DM Jr. square bill dives from 0-4 feet and is deadly when fish are shallow. It’s a great year-round bait with the look, action and sound designed to generate more strikes even while motionless in the water.
The DM 14 is ideal for targeting shallow to mid-depth structures up to 14 feet deep. With illumination in the eyes, this wide wobble crankbait is designed to come through cover without hanging up.
The DM 20 is ideal for targeting deep water structures reaching depths to 20 feet. The DM 20 features natural baitfish sounds, illumination in the lure’s eyes that fade in and out along with a wide wobble retrieve making it irresistible to predators.

Your MultiTouch Livingston Lure gives you four options of sound to choose from. Follow the steps below to select your sound! MultiTouch Sound Selection Your Livingston Lure has eyelets that are used as MultiTouch contact points to select the sound for your lure. (These are the same eyelets used for securing hooks and attaching line to the lure–see below.) Before choosing your sound, locate Contact Points 1 & 2. (Fig. 1)

Your MultiTouch Livingston Lure must be powered on before sound selection.

1. To power on: submerge the lure in water for 5 seconds and remove. Touch & hold Contact Points 1 & 2 (Fig. 2). After a few seconds, your lure will default to playing the sound Randy Howell used at the Bassmaster Classic: EBS™ ORIGINAL.* To select this sound, simply release the Contact Points. *In order to select another sound, continue to hold Contact Points 1 & 2 (Fig. 2).
2. By continuing to hold, you will hear a brief pause followed by the second sound, EBS™ CRAW. To select this sound, simply release the Contact Points. 3. By continuing to hold, you will hear a brief pause followed by the third sound, EBS™ SHAD. To select this sound, simply release the Contact Points. 4. By continuing to hold, you will hear no sound, EBS™ SILENT MODE. To select Silent Mode, simply release the Contact Points after 4 seconds. You are now at the end of the cycle. In order to select another sound, repeat steps 1-4.
Water amplifies the volume of sound. To best hear your lure, power on and carefully hold lure up to your ear, keeping hooks away from your face.
Your MultiTouch Livingston Lure will go into sleep mode if left motionless longer than 3 minutes. This includes in the water, in your tackle box, and hanging from your rod. To power off your lure sooner than 3 minutes, simply dry thoroughly and lure will turn off. To reactivate your lure, simply go fishing! Your lure will awaken from sleep mode in the same sound that was last selected.

The Primetyme SQ 2.0 puts the action of a mid-range, erratic running baitfish together with Livingston’s new EBS MultiTouch Technology™. Anglers will present an enticing action produced by this lure’s thin square lip along with their choice of baitfish sounds to call them in.
The Howeller DMC SQ is the championship winning design of the Howeller with a thin square bill designed for erratic actions at shallow to mid-range depths. It can be fished with 3 different sounds or completely silent for the right conditions. You make the choice to match the conditions of your environment—perfectly!
The Walking Boss is a top water lure, designed with perfect balance and weight for effortlessly producing the right actions and casting ease. Walking Boss Part II features the same action and look of the Walking Boss with the added exaggeration of the distress baitfish provided by the jointed body.

Primetyme CB 1.5 is a hot shot lure that’s perfect for almost any fishing condition. Its tight, fast wiggle is produced by a narrow circuit board bill that targets fish down to 5 feet. The Primetyme CB 2.0 dives up to 6 feet and like the CB 1.5, gives anglers more than a choice of look and action. They can also match the conditions with sounds!
JerkMaster 121 offers a most enticing darting action along with great color patterns for all water types. Perfectly weighted & balanced, this jerkbait is designed to throw a mile. When the fish are deep, Deep Impact 18 gets you to them and then instigates the strike. Since light cannot travel very deep, fish rely more on sound and vibration than sight. EBS™ lets you pick the right baitfish sound to call and capture them.
Throw the School Master in schooling fish and do nothing but engage your reel. Walk the dog with this bait at any depth in the water column, pause, and it shimmies back to the desired depth.
The Howeller Deep is a larger version of the Howeller Dream Master Classic. At 3 1/4”, it runs at 25’+ depths and produces a wide, super strong wobble with fast, enticing action that game fish hiding in the deeper water cannot resist. The Howeller Deep+ is longer, at 41/4”, and runs at extreme 30’+ depths.
