Hassan’s varied roles have included stints with NBK, Kuwait Oil Company and Ritcher Creative; winning an award at the latter for ‘best event’ in 2014. He is now Social Media Consultant and Influencer @Halmosawi as well as Advisor to the Board for Kuwait Times and Head of Communications at Zain Telecommunications. Yalda has a degree in Film Directing as well as having enjoyed the enviable role of Fashion Editor. She is now one of the leading Social Media Influencers in Kuwait and internationally; and a proud mama to Lilly and Sasha.
Please tell us about your academic backgrounds: Yalda: BA in Film from Los Angeles Hassan: MBA in Management
How and where did the two of you meet?
Hassan: We actually met on Facebook! I saw her and after briefly talking to her I flew 16 hours to meet. The day we met we got engaged and 50 days after was our wedding day. I remember breaking the news to our mothers. They were in shock but when they saw us together they knew it was meant to be.
As a professional, what are the qualities you admire in your spouse?
Hassan: I admire her kindness and modesty. Before fame she had always attracted attention but from the moment we met until now, nothing has gone to her head. She is still as real as the day I met her. Yalda: I love his wisdom. He seems to always look at the big picture and see things from a different, more positive angle. When the world seems in chaos, he knows how to make sense of it.

Where do you concur and where do you differ from each other?
Yalda: We both have the same priority to be happy and to grow together. Hassan: Areas where we differ are music, film genres, holiday destinations, food, hobbies - we’re pretty much opposites in every sense of the word.
Do you think being friends with your spouse is an important part of marriage?
Hassan: 100% How can you not be friends when history, partnership and affection is the basis of all friendships?
How do you handle a work-life balance and challenges in a dynamic work environment?
Yalda: We are constantly adjusting and trying to figure that one out. We have a sense of when parts of our lives are out of sync and we tend to wave the red flag and adjust quickly.
