AMERICAN MILKING SHORTHORN SOCIETY ANNUAL MEETING The American Milking Shorthorn National Convention took place June 17-19 in Fort Atkinson, WI. Convention kicked off with the annual National Junior Milking Shorthorn Show judged by Justin Langer, WI. Taking home Junior Champion honors was Maunesha Creek Coors On Tap, the winning fall calf exhibited by Justin Brandel. Reserve Junior Champion was the winning winter yearling, Maunesha Creek Easy On The Eyes EXP. The 2nd winter yearling, Heavenly Zara ET, was HM Junior Champion for Brynn Emery. Finally, Bred & Owned Champion went to Halpins MM Premium Mimosa, 1st fall yearling, exhibited by Colt & Owen Halpin. The National Convention Sale was held on June 18 with 39 lots averaging $2280. Topping the sale was Lot 4, Mikes-Dar Muddy Clarification VG-88. Clarification was Nominated All-American Junior 2-Year-Old in 2020 and sold fresh. She is a Rockstar out of Mikes-Dar PR Christina. She was consigned by Colton Gregory, IL and sold to Ashley Murphy, IN. During the Annual Meeting, elections took place and several awards were presented.
