47 Model 1768 Charleville Marine Flintlock Musket French. .69 caliber, 38.25” smoothbore round barrel proof marked at the breech. Original flint, lock with iron pan, flat plate with crown “D” proof and engraved “Manufacture / de Charleville;” action functions properly. Three-band walnut stock has mixed brass and iron furniture. Complete with iron ramrod. Good. Bore dirty, but will clean to good. Metal and wood have even dark age patina. Well preserved early musket. $2,500 - $3,000

48 Model 1766/70 Flintlock Cavalry Musketoon French. .67 caliber, 31” smoothbore round barrel proof marked at the breech. Original flint, lock has iron pan, plate engraved “Manufacture / de St. Etienne;” action in good working order. Three-band walnut stock with brass furniture. Iron saddle ring bar and ramrod. Good. Bore fair. Normal age and service wear. $4,000 - $4,500

49 Model 1777 Flintlock Dragoon Musket French. .69 caliber, 44.5” smoothbore round barrel with proof marks on the breech. Original flint, lock with a brass pan, plate engraved “M / de Paris;” action functions properly. Three-band walnut stock with cut-out cheek rest. Mixed brass iron furniture, and an iron ramrod. Fair to good. Bore with surface oxidation, should clean to good. Iron finish is age darkened with scattered minor pitting. Wood loss behind the hammer, small crack behind the side plate and primitive carving on the reverse buttstock. $2,500 - $3,000

50 Model 1770/71 Flintlock Dragoon Musket French. .69 caliber, 41.75” smoothbore round barrel proof marked on the breech. Original flint, lock with iron pan, plate stamped with partially legible St. Etienne maker’s mark; action functions properly. Three-band walnut stock with mixed brass and iron furniture. Complete with iron ramrod. Formerly in the George Neumann collection and pictured on page 179 of his book “Battle Weapons of the American Revolution.” Good. Bore dirty, but good. Metal aging to dark. Minor or hairline cracks in the stock a the side plate, wrist near the triggerguard, and the reverse buttstock $4,500 - $5,500 18
