500 English Brass Barrel Flintlock Blunderbuss Longarm, ca 1680 Bore at muzzle is 1.94”, barrel is 27.2” with an overall length of the weapon being 42.75”. This piece weighs a little over 12 pounds and is full-stocked with “W D F” stamped into the right side of the buttstock. Brass barrel is proofed at the breech. This gun is in overall very good condition displaying a pleasing patina to the brass barrel and grey patina to the lock mechanism. The action is good and the stock is overall good with some damage and old cracks at the fore end area that have been repaired some time ago, including replacement of wood along the left top rail, approximately 16” x .25”. One reverse side lockplate screw is missing. A wood ramrod is present, retained by a brass ferrule. According to the consignor’s notes, a similar firearm can be found in American Military Shoulder Arms by George Moller (Vol. 1, page 278). A massive early blunderbuss. $3,000 - $5,000
501 Unmarked Iron Matchlock Blunderbuss Bore at muzzle is 1.5”, barrel length is 31.5” and the overall length is 47”. The wood stock is full length with one front metal band that retains the flared wooden ramrod. This early gun is in overall good to very good condition with a light patina to metal surfaces and a stylized animal head engraved on the hammer. The action is good, the mounts are iron and the wood is overall good with some scattered mars, scratches and several areas of restoration. The wrist shows an old break that has been repaired. $3,500 - $7,000
502 Huge Spanish Miguelet Iron Wall Gun, ca 1750 Bore at muzzle is 3.22”, barrel length is 29.7” with an overall length of 44.8”. Engraving on barrel, lock mechanism, triggerguard and reverse lockplate. Wood stock with iron-tipped ramrod and chain ring mounted on left side of stock above trigger assembly. Weight is 12.3 pounds. This blunderbuss is in overall good to very good condition with a heavy dark patina on iron surfaces. Good action. Overall good stock with a repaired break in front of the triggerguard. $3,500 - $7,000 160
