World War I/II 416 US WWI Model 1904 McClellan Cavalry Saddle 2nd pattern M1904 brown leather regulation McClellan saddle with brass and iron furniture and the distinctive adjustable lower side rigging. Complete with “US” embossed leather hooded wooden stirrups, M1904 leather saddle bags with “US” embossed flaps, leather and horsehair M1904 pack cincha dated “1917”, M1912 khaki web surcingle, OD wool M1904 bedding blanket and a white canvas grain bag. Of special note is the M1903 brown leather rifle scabbard dated “1918”, a WWI shelter half stenciled “15/crossed sabers/H/09” and later Boy Scout markings and a very scarce lariat rope with brown japanned iron furniture attached to an iron picket pin dated “1905.” A M1898 canteen and leather sword hanger complete the group. All components are well preserved with normal age and service wear, a just a couple of old repairs. $1,000 - $2,000
417 US Model 1936 Phillips Officer’s Saddle Russet leather, designed a universal saddle of all officers. Has a brass Jeffersonville Quartermaster Depot data plate dated “1938.” Complete with the uniquely designed pommel and cantle bags in matching russet leather, iron stirrups and a white mohair cord girth. Accoutrements include a mounted pattern canteen and OD wool blanket. A rare example of the last regulation US Army officer’s saddle. Very good, light age and service wear. $1,000 - $2,000
418 US Cavalry Rare Model 1924 Experimental Canvas Saddle Bags Khaki canvas double bags complete with all web straps, bronzed buckles ans brass fittings. “U.S.” surcharged on both flaps, marked and dated “J.Q.M.D. / 1932.” The M24 canvas bags were designed as a substitute for leather as that material was in short supply during wartime. Very few were manufactured, with those being strenuously tested, explaining the few surviving examples. Good, shows moderate aging, normal service wear, moderate fading and a few rust stain spots. $2,000 - $3,000 419 Canadian Red Ensign Flag Flag measures 33”x58” multi piece construction, This is the type of ensign in use from 1921-1957 the type as carried in the 1936 Olympics.
