287 Indian Captured Harper’s Ferry Musket .69 caliber, 29.5” round barrel, lockplate marked Harper’s Ferry dated 1828. Brass tacked stock. Stock has been altered by Indians during the period of use. Very interesting rawhide sling with loops to carry the musket. All metal has some pitting and a nice untouched patina. This is an excellent example of an American Indian used and altered musket. $1,000 - $1,500

288 English Flintlock Trade Rifle .58 caliber, 41” barrel, lockplate dated 1813 with the initials T V M. Walnut stock with brass furniture. Barrel and lockplate with nice even patina. Original Flint. Stock has a couple of cracks on the left side opposite side of the lock. Walnut stock with some nicks and dings. Overall an excellent example of Indian used trade rifle. $1,000 - $1,650

289 Flintlock Trade Fowler .630 caliber smoothbore, 52.5” octagonal to round barrel, markings appear on the top of barrel but are not legible. Lock is a replacement. Proper style for the period. Brass furniture, walnut stock. Barrel with nice dark brown patina. Lock has been browned to match the barrel. Barrel more than likely was re-converted back to flint. Brass with nice dark patina. $1,500 - $2,500

290 Early Long Land Pattern Brown Bess Musket .70 caliber, 46” round barrel with English proofs at the breech on the left side. Early banana-shaped flintlock, 7” long. Beveled hammer with rounded pan. Brass buttplate, brass triggerguard, brass sideplate, brass escutcheon plate behind the tang. Brass ramrod ferrules. Walnut stock. Barrel has some pitting around the touch hole and spreading onto the barrel the barrel begins to smooth out with a nice dark patina that is untouched. Then the forward section between the middle ferrule and front ferrule has been cleaned lightly. Lock and hammer are grey and pitted. Brass has been cleaned and began to age. The front nosecap is a replacement. Stock has a dry look with a section that has been replaced in the front, between the middle ferrule and the nosecap. Stock has some nicks and dings. Overall this is a very rare pre-Revolutionary War military long arm that seldom is seen and for sale.
