276 Early Ketland Officer’s Flintlock Pistol .60 caliber smooth bore, 9 1/8” round iron barrel with London commercial proofs at breech. Flat, bevelled iron lock with teat at rear, flat goose neck cock and rounded, unbridled pan. Lock marked in two lines: KETLAND / & Co. Brass mounts with open work side plate and wrist escutcheon. Walnut stock, with nicely carved apron around tang, wooden ram rod. Fair to good. Metal with a lightly cleaned pewter patina and scattered surface discoloration. Lock functional, frizzen spring broken. Stock cracked through the forend. Ramrod replaced. A nice Ketland pistol worthy of repair to restore it to its former glory. $1,000 - $1,500

277 Early Ketland Flintlock Pistol .60 caliber smooth bore 8” octagon to round barrel with baluster turned rings at transition. Flat iron lock with rounded goose neck cock and unbridled pan. Lock marked in three lines: T / KETLAND / & Co. Brass mounts including triggerguard, butt cap, side plate, wrist escutcheon and ramrod pipes. Escutcheon plate lightly engraved with the initials DLW. Shell motif silver wire inlay around tang. Wood ram rod. Good, metal with a dark plum brown patina and some light surface oxidation. Lock mechanically functional. Brass with nice, dark ocher patina. Stock about good as refinished with some minor repairs at forend and chipping around the lock mortise. Ram rod a replacement. A good example of an early Ketland trade pistol. $1,000 - $1,500

278 Pair Of Iron Mounted Flintlock Blunderbuss Pistols .90 caliber flared muzzle with 6 7/8” octagon to round barrels that have baluster turned rings at the transition. Rounded iron flint locks with flat goose neck cocks and rounded iron pans. Iron mountings, walnut stock with raised stock carvings at apron and rear of lock and flat. Crude wooden ramrods. Fair, non-functional with heavily oxidized patina and stocks with some damage, wood loss and heavy wear. Ramrods replaced. $1,500 - $2,500

279 Turkish Flintlock Pistol .560 Bore diameter, 10” octagonal tapered to round barrel. Silver mounted with inlays of pierced silver. Silver furniture with raised floral designs. Circassian wood stock. Lock with nice dark brown patina. Barrel with light damascene finish remaining. Stock with nice untouched patina. Overall an excellent pistol. $3,000 - $5,000
