MANY SENIORS TO ATTEND COLLEGE AT NO COST

On May 8th, Covington Latin seniors signed their academic letters of intent to their chosen schools. Our seniors earned on average $330,000 each in scholarships. Many will attend college for no cost.

NORTHERN KENTUCKY GIRLS TENNIS PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Sara Watanabe ‘23 was named the Enquirer Northern Kentucky Girls Tennis Player of the Year. Sara finished 3rd in the Kentucky State Tennis Tournament. She was also named to the All-State Tennis Team. This is Sara's second year in a row to win the Ninth Region singles championship and state semi-finalist.

CLS REPRESENTS AT ST. ELIZABETH ALL-STAR GAME

Isabel Enzweiler ‘22, Ellie Stegman ‘23, and Kaylin Meyers

‘23 were awarded the opportunity to represent CLS in the St. Elizabeth Healthcare Volleyball East/West All-Star Game.

BEST PRIVATE SCHOOL

Cincy Magazine’s Family Choice Awards for the Best Private School (K-12) in Greater Cincinnati once again recognized Covington Latin School.

For the second year in a row, Covington Latin earned the distinction of Best School

Spirit by Northern Kentucky’s Best of NKY.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Aidan Ross ‘24 was nominated for NKY Baseball Player of the Week by the Enquirer.

REGIONAL YOUTH LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

Auburn H. '23 and Thomas H. '23 were recently selected to participate in the exclusive Regional Youth Leadership Program put on by the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. Only 45 students are selected for the program each year. Students must be Juniors when they apply and will participate in the eight-month program during their Senior year. Throughout their program, students will be introduced to various topics, including arts and culture, diversity and human services, economic development, health, law, leadership, and local government, for a hands-on experience in learning.

THE ENQUIRER HIGH SCHOOL WINTER ALL-STAR TEAMS

Four Trojan athletes were named to the Enquirer High School Winter All-Star Teams. Congratulations to

Swimmer Liam Connelly ‘22, Archers Ethan Wong ‘23, Jacob Schuetter ‘22, and Monica Juelg ‘24.

THE GOOD CITIZENSHIP AWARD

The Sons of the American Revolution recently awarded Ethan Luckhardt ‘27 the Good Citizenship Award! Awards are given to acknowledge good citizenship based on dependability, cooperation, leadership, and patriotism.

YWCA GREATER CINCINNATI MAMIE EARL SELLS SCHOLARSHIP PERFECT SCORE ON THE ACT

A’nika Lickert was awarded Honorable Mention in the YWCA Greater Cincinnati Mamie Earl Sells Scholarship.

scored a perfect 36 on the ACT.

KENTUCKY JCL STATE CONFERENCE

The Covington Latin Junior Classical League group attended and competed at the Kentucky JCL State Conference over Spring Break. CLS brought home several awards, including First Place in the Constructed Catapult competition and Second Place in the Spirit Competition.

Mary Meyer also placed in the Top 3 in all SIX of the academic tests she took!

Lucy Obermeyer was selected to serve as the Kentucky State JCL President for 2022-2023.
