The Aussie jewellery designer and international jet-setter talks to COVET about her latest collection, her inspirations, and what she Craves, Desires & Indulges in... Who is Samantha Wills? A very lucky woman! I am eternally grateful for all the success I have had. My business and I are constantly growing; we both have lots of aspirations and exciting projects to come. What was the inspiration behind your latest collection? The Diversity of Life – is a reflection of my crazy and diverse life, sharing my home between Australia and NY. I am never in the one place for more than a few weeks. Whether it’s being in Paris one week or Asia the next I am always searching the world for new materials and constantly being re-inspired. I make sure to embrace my surrounding and I think my designs reflect this. The Diversity of Life is a mix of bohemian stacked bangle sets, Moroccan signature pendants, Parisian Swarovski crystal encrusted earrings, and matching statement necklaces. How did you feel when celebrities started wearing SW? Although it was never something we intended on doing it is a true honour that celebrities choose to wear Samantha Wills. You have done some great charity work such as REDKITE and WORLD VISION. What has been the most rewarding part? I think when working in fashion there is respectfully no ‘need’ for what we do – however if you can utilize a profile or brand’s success and be able to give back, that is what is most rewarding. What are five things you could not live without? My blackberry, my sketchpad, my MacBook, my amazing team and very understanding friends and family!
