The main purpose of this award is to: 087 0915643

Develop participants awareness of the impacts of environmental change and the key sustainable practices that can be implemented by a business and by an individual

The employee will apply the skills learned to identify sustainability improvement options for the business/workplace involved

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion the learner will be able to:

Describe the principal effects of human activities on the environment, to include depletion of natural resources, climate change, pollution, and loss of biodiversity

Examine the key measures that have been taken to address these environmental issues, to include: all relevant national, international and European policy instruments or agreements

Identify and assess the environmental impacts of individuals and recommend actions that can be taken to reduce these impacts

Conduct an initial review to scope an environmental improvement programme that could be carried out in the workplace

Pre-Requisite

This course is only suitable for people currently in employment in Kildare/ Wicklow

Employers will be required to complete STA paperwork in order to qualify for funding

Good grasp of the English language (oral & written)

Computer/laptop

Strong Internet/Wi-Fi connection
