SOCIAL HEART from Delta’s Parks, Recreation & Culture Commission This year, Delta opened the freshly renovated and expanded North Delta Recreation Centre (NDRC), and with the 28,000 sq. ft. addition, the facility is bigger and better than ever. Throughout this guide, you’ll explore new features and discover programs and activities offered at NDRC. With the outdoor patio workout area and new equipment such as the TRX Rip Trainer and Keiser M3 exercise bikes, the new 6,000 sq. ft. fitness centre will motivate you to get moving. The bright, brand-new gymnasium is perfect for your next pickleball, volleyball, badminton or basketball game. New this year, NDRC is offering public skates and lessons at the arena! Recreation is expanded outdoors, too. Enjoy the landscaped play area next time you’re at the Social Heart Plaza or the outdoor pool. North Delta Recreation Centre has fully accessible, family-friendly change rooms, an expanded municipal business centre, and brand-new meeting and recreation spaces. Did you know there is now a spot to grab a coffee and bite to eat, too? Try the Delta Mocha House after your workout or activity. We are proud that North Delta Recreation Centre is home to fantastic community organizations. Reach Child and Youth Development Society, Watershed Artworks Society, North Delta Potters Guild, 819 Skyhawk Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron, and Delta Thistle Curling Club all operate within the recreation centre.
