ENGAGE ALL OF WHO YOU ARE. THE VIRTUE PROJECT
Part of making a difference is living differently. So at Cornerstone, we’ll help you shape your life according to the things that matter most. Cornerstone has an added edge to our curriculum, and it includes spending time with you to grow a life that will influence our World for Christ with attributes like hospitality, wisdom, love and courage.
CHRIST CHAPEL
Opened in 2015, Christ Chapel has four large windows, crafted in stained glass by Danish artist Peter Brandes. The windows not only capture light, but draw it inside, breathing into it a sacred beauty. Like those windows, the Cornerstone chapel services will enlighten your personal walk with God. It starts in this space where we gather as a Christian community.
EVENSONG
At Cornerstone, faith is more a matter of your heart than the focus of a spotlight. That’s why every week, away from faculty and staff, students come together on Sunday evening with voices and instruments drawn together in honest, connected worship. We don’t want you to pretend; we hope you will come just as you are.
WORLD-RENOWNED SPEAKERS
When it comes to your faith at Cornerstone, we feel it’s important to bring messages outside of your everyday perspective. That’s why we create space for speakers like two-time Olympic Athlete and former Lost Boy Lopez Lomong to share their testimony. At Cornerstone, there is always room for inspiration that captivates your soul.

CONNECTIONS THAT SURPASS A FORMULA. PROFESSORS TO CHALLENGE YOUR MIND AND SOUL
One of 58 full-time faculty, Associate Professor Kathleen Sindorf is known for taking students outdoors for class. Because when someone is the recipient of the President’s Award of Excellence for the Christian Broadcasting Network, she gets to be a little nontraditional. It’s that kind of fresh perspective that stretches you further than you knew you could go.
RELATIONAL LEARNING
Dr. Robert Keys serves at Cornerstone because he doesn’t want to just lecture on ecology. He treks with students around Ireland, kayaking in wet suits, sleeping in abandoned shepherds’ cabins and showing just how long to go without a shower. At Cornerstone, faculty takes you further by applying what happens in the classroom with the world that surrounds you.
HONORS PROGRAM
This unique opportunity for high-achieving students lets you engage with ideas more deeply through reading the great works of Western intellectual tradition and subsequent discourse with faculty mentors, like literary expert Dr. Michael Stevens. In addition, major speaking events give the whole honors community an opportunity to wrestle with a Christian perspective on important topics. At Cornerstone, you get every opportunity to fully own and apply Biblical principles within your academic experience.

TOGETHER WE SOAR. EARNING NATIONAL PROMINENCE
You’ll learn there is a lot more to athletics at Cornerstone than scoreboards. We’ve been recognized twice as the national winner of the NAIA’s Champions of Character award. CU is known for consistently setting the standard in athletic integrity, respect, sportsmanship, servant leadership and responsibility.
LEADING OUR CONFERENCE
Members of the WHAC Conference and NAIA, the Golden Eagles are well versed in victory—claiming 429 All-Conference Athletes, 35 Coach-of-the-Year Awards, 31 Conference Championships, three National Champion teams and nine individual National Champions. Our most recent title came with the men’s basketball team and their 2015 national championship.
COMPETING FOR CHANGE
Our approach to team gets everyone involved, both on the court and in the stands. That’s part of the philosophy behind our popular Night of Nets challenges where you and the other Cornerstone students can join together in sending games’ proceeds to purchase protective mosquito netting to fight malaria in developing countries.

BRING MORE TO THE WORLD
Part of Cornerstone’s unique edge, the Terra Firma curriculum means your entire first year will involve learning and serving with a tight-knit community of students. We also organize Go Trips that allow you to travel the world so you can discover ways to help change it.
