ello my beloved. Welcome to our newsletter, Cornerstone. We hope our newsletter will keep our fellowship connected using two formats; paper and electronic. Jesus is described as the cornerstone, a crucial stone that sets a quality or standard, connecting two walls. Jesus connects Old Testament to the New Testament he also connects APRIL 2015
humanity to divinity (mankind to God). This is the great message of redemption it is the only message of Easter I commend this newsletter to you God bless 1 Peter 2:6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

oday, Christianity is under attack more than ever. Christians with a biblical worldview seem to be the ‘underdogs’ in the university, culture, and media. As the stats show that this is one area where young Christians struggle and even lose their faith. So when a film affirms a Christian worldview in any sense, it’s hard not to be excited. God’s Not Dead is a new Christian film about faith and the extent one young man will go to in order to defend his belief in God. Present-day college freshman and devout Christian, Josh Wheaton (Shane Harper), finds his faith challenged on his first day of Philosophy class by the dogmatic and argumentative Professor Radisson (Kevin Sorbo). Radisson begins class by informing students that they will need to disavow, in writing, the existence of God on that first day,
or face a failing grade. As other students in the class begin scribbling the words “God Is Dead” on pieces of paper as instructed, Josh find himself at a crossroads, having to choose between his faith and his future. Josh offers a nervous refusal, provoking an irate reaction from his smug professor. Radisson assigns him a daunting task: if Josh will not admit that “God Is Dead,” he must prove God’s existence by presenting wellresearched, intellectual arguments and evidence over the course of the semester, and engage Radisson in a head-tohead debate in front of the class. GOD’S NOT DEAD weaves together multiple stories of faith, doubt and disbelief, culminating in a dramatic call to action. The film will educate, entertain, and inspire
moviegoers to explore what they really believe about God, igniting important conversations and life-changing decisions.
GOD’S NOT DEAD will be showing at the Solid Rock Cinema (NTCG The Rock) on Good Friday 3rd April. Doors open 6pm. Entry is FREE!

I pray today that if anyone is going though this that their eyes will be opened and see how many people love them and, even more, that God loves them... For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)
