Hornibrook on Neal: Lauren impressed us with her passion for the game and her field hockey intelligence. She has excellent hands and very solid skills and we expect that she will develop into a very good all-around player. At Arundel Senior HS: A four-year letter winner at Arundel Senior high school, Neal served as team captain as a senior and was an all-county honorable mention selection in 2007 and 2008. She helped her club team to a second place finish at the 2007 National Festival. Neal also lettered twice in track and field. Personal: Lauren Emily Neal is the daughter of Jeffrey and Linda Neal and she has one older brother. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Hornibrook on Robson: Alex’s size and reach, combined with her strong hit make her a formidable presence in the backfield. She has the benefit and experience of competing in British Columbia for her regional and club program, so she has had exposure playing the game at a high level. At Gleneagle Secondary School: Robson was a four-year starter for Gleneagle Secondary School and led her team to four straight district championships. A three-year team captain, she earned her team’s Captain Award twice and was twice named Academic Athlete of the Year. As a senior, she led her team to a third-place finish at the Provincial tournament. Robson also played four years of netball and two years of basketball. Her netball team finished as Provincial champions all four years and she was named the MVP at the Senior Netball Provincial Tournament as a junior. Personal: Alexandra Carey Robson is the daughter of Gary and Carole Robson and she has one older brother. She is enrolled in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.

Hornibrook on Mollineaux: Paige is a powerful and all-around solid athlete with quick hands. She will also bring a lot of versatility to the team. Paige’s play demonstrates a good balance between scoring and distributing. We were impressed with her play at the National Futures Touranment and believe that she will have the ability to help us in many areas. At Delran HS: A four-year letter winner at Delran HS, Mollineaux was named the 2008 Burlington County Player of the Year, as well as the Field Hockey Club of South Jersey Captain of the Year. She was named to the Burlington County first-team, the All-Star South Jersey team, the All-Star Senior Showcas Team and the Star Ledger

2008 Season Review

Hornibrook on Laventure: Katie has tremendous vision, an unbelievable work ethic and a commitment to the game. It has been fun watching her growth over the past few years and she has clearly developed the versatility to play almost any position on the field. Likewise, her experience playing with the BC provincial program will be a real asset. At Little Flower Academy: Laventure lettered four times at Little Flower Academy playing both back and midfield. She led her team to the AA Provincial Championships in 2007 after a runnerup finish in 2006 and third place finishes in 2004 and 2005. She served as team captain as a senior and was named team MVP that same season. Laventure was also the winner of her team’s Best Defensive Player award in both 2004 and 2005. She is a three-year member of the B.C. provincial team and has finished as the runner-up at the U19 Canadian National Outdoor Championship in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Laventure also played for the second place team at the U19 Canadian National Indoor Championship in 2008. Personal: Kathryn Elizabeth Laventure is the daughter of Leslie and Maureen Laventure and she has two younger brothers. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Hornibrook on DiPastina: Kat is blessed with excellent quickness, including a tremendous first step, and has proven to be a natural goal scorer. She is an extremely focused and competitive athlete, which will serve her well in her growth as an athlete. At The Derryfield School: A four-year letter winner at the Derryfield School, DiPastina led her team to a state title in 2007. she was named the Class S Player of the Year in both 2007 and 2008 and was the Union Leader Player of the Year in 2008. DiPastina was named both first-team allstate and all-conference as a junior and a senior. She was also a four-year letter winner in both ice hockey and softball, serving as the captain of both teams during her senior season. Personal: Katherine Mary DiPastina is the daughter of John and Margaret DiPastina and she has older twin brothers and a younger sister. She is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences.

She was also named to the South Jersey Group 2 first-team in 2006 and 2008, with second-team selections in 2005 and 2007. An eight-year member of the Spirit of USA Field Hockey, she participated in the National Futures Tournament and was a Futures Elite Member in 2007 and 2008. Mollineaux also lettered four times in softball. Personal: Paige Morgan Mollineaux is the daughter of James and Doreen Mollineaux ans she has one younger sister. She is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
