Be Still My Soul 1. Be still my soul the Lord is on thy side Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain

Leave to thy God to order and provide In every change He faithful will remain

Be still my soul thy best, thy heavenly friend Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end

2. Be still, my soul: Thy God doth undertake To guide the future as he has the past.

Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake; All now mysterious shall be bright at last.

Be still, my soul: The waves and winds still know

His voice who ruled them while he dwelt below. 3. Be still, my soul: The hour is hast’ning on When we shall be forever with the Lord,

When disappointment, grief, and fear are gone, Sorrow forgot, love’s purest joys restored.

Be still, my soul: When change and tears are past, All safe and blessed we shall meet at last. Songwriter: Katharina von Schlege

I S ta n d A l l A m a z e d I stand all amazed at the love Jesus offers me

Confused at the grace that, so fully, He proffers me I tremble to know that, for me, He was crucified

That for me, a sinner, He suffered, He bled and died Oh, it is wonderful that He should care for me Enough to die for me

Oh, it is wonderful, wonderful to me I marvel that He would descend from His throne, divine To rescue a soul so rebellious and proud as mine

That He should extend His great love unto such as I Sufficient to own, to redeem, and to justify

Oh, it is wonderful that He should care for me Enough to die for me

Oh, it is wonderful, wonderful to me I think of His hands pierced and bleeding to pay the debt Such mercy, such love and devotion can I forget? No, no, I will praise and adore at the mercy seat Until at the glorified throne, I kneel at His feet

Oh, it is wonderful that He should care for me Enough to die for me

Oh, it is wonderful, wonderful to me Songwriter: Charles H. Gabriel 4

I will go and do No matter where I go, I know I’m not alone. I feel my Savior there beside me. He leads me through the night. He’s always been my guide. He promised He will never leave me. Though my burdens seem too much to bear, He’ll bless me. So, whatever He commands, I will go and do. I will stand for truth. Though the world may back away, I will walk right through. I know if I follow Him, follow Him in faith, He will ease my burdens and He’ll provide a way. He’ll provide a way. When I feel overcome and all my strength is gone, I think of all the ways He’s blessed me. My journey may seem long, but He’ll lift me with His love— A perfect love that’s never-ending. He will give me, give me all the strength I’m needing. So, whatever He commands, I will go and do. I will stand for truth. Though the world may back away, I will walk right through. I know if I follow Him, follow Him in faith, He will ease my burdens and He’ll provide a way. He’ll provide a way for me to cross the desert, to sail across the ocean. If that’s where He sends me, I’ll follow His plan. I’ll do whatever He commands me, for I know that He will lead me to the promised land. I will go and do. I will stand for truth. Though the world may shut Him out, I will make Him room. I know if I follow Him, follow Him in faith, He will ease my burdens and He’ll provide a way. He’ll provide a way. No matter where I go, I know I’m not alone. I feel my Savior there beside me. Songwriter: Nik Day 5

L e a d K i n d ly L i g h t 1. Lead, kindly Light, amid th’encircling gloom; Lead thou me on! The night is dark, and I am far from home; Lead thou me on! Keep thou my feet; I do not ask to see The distant scene—one step enough for me. 2. I was not ever thus, nor pray’d that thou Shouldst lead me on. I loved to choose and see my path; but now, Lead thou me on! I loved the garish day, and, spite of fears, Pride ruled my will. Remember not past years. 3. So long thy pow’r hath blest me, sure it still Will lead me on O’er moor and fen, o’er crag and torrent, till The night is gone. And with the morn those angel faces smile, Which I have loved long since, and lost awhile!

Songwriter: John Henry Newman

Peace in Christ 1. There is peace in Christ When we learn of Him. Feel the love He felt for us When He bore our sins. Listen to His words. Let them come alive. If we know Him as He is, There is peace in Christ. He gives us hope When hope is gone. He gives us strength When we can’t go on. He gives us shelter In the storms of life. When there’s no peace on earth, There is peace in Christ. 2. There is peace in Christ When we walk with Him Through the streets of Galilee To Jerusalem. Mend the broken hearts. Dry the tear-filled eyes. When we live the way He lived, There is peace in Christ. He gives us hope When hope is gone. He gives us strength When we can’t go on. He gives us shelter In the storms of life. When there’s no peace on earth, There is peace in Christ. He gives us hope When hope is gone. He gives us strength When we can’t go on. He gives us shelter In the storms of life. When there’s no peace on earth, There is peace in Christ. When there’s no peace on earth, There is peace in Christ.

This is the Christ 1. They heard His voice, a voice so mild. It pierced them through and made their souls to quake. They saw Him come, a man in white, The Savior, who had suffered for their sake. They felt the wounds in hands and side, And each could testify: Chorus: This is the Christ. This is the Christ, the holy Son of God, Our Savior, Lord, Redeemer of mankind. This is the Christ, the Healer of our souls, Who ransomed us with love divine. 2. I read His words, the words He prayed While bearing sorrow in Gethsemane. I feel His love, the price He paid. How many drops of blood were spilled for me? With Saints of old in joyful cry I too can testify: Chorus: This is the Christ. This is the Christ, the holy Son of God, Our Savior, Lord, Redeemer of mankind. This is the Christ, the Healer of our souls, Who ransomed us with love divine.

Songwriter: James E. Faust

T i s S w e e t t o S i n g t h e M at c h l e s s L o v e 1. ’Tis sweet to sing the matchless love Of Him who left his home above And came to earth—oh, wondrous plan— To suffer, bleed, and die for man! For Jesus died on Calvary, That all thru him might ransomed be. Then sing hosannas to his name; Let heav’n and earth his love proclaim 2. ’Tis good to meet each Sabbath day And, in his own appointed way, Partake the emblems of his death, And thus renew our love and faith. For Jesus died on Calvary, That all thru him might ransomed be. Then sing hosannas to his name; Let heav’n and earth his love proclaim. 3. Oh, blessed hour! communion sweet! When children, friends, and teachers meet And, in remembrance of his grace, Unite in sweetest songs of praise. For Jesus died on Calvary, That all thru him might ransomed be. Then sing hosannas to his name; Let heav’n and earth his love proclaim. Songwriter: George Manwaring 9
