Rivers Edge Building

Below Ground Works - University of Tasmania’s River’s Edge Building

The Rivers Edge Building embarks on becoming a vibrant new academic building perched between the existing Architecture and Design building and the historic Inveresk Railway Workshops. The new Rivers Edge building will be strongly linked to the existing Architecture and Design building as well as the Stone Building both of which will also undergo their own renovations as well.

Due to the soil composition of the Inveresk precinct which historically was a swampland, the structural detail of the Rivers Edge Building was quite extreme. For our plumbing, this meant in-ground drainage also had to be hung from the slab with stainless steel straps. Swivel joints also had to be installed as each line exited the footings.

We are all very excited about the Rivers Edge project and the start of where our Northern Tasmania journey can take us. We are currently pricing some other terrific projects in Launceston and will keep everyone posted.
