aça sol ou chuva, o cheiro adocicado das flores a desabrochar empurra-nos para a rua, numa vontade, biológica até, de nos religarmos à terra. A chegada da Primavera não poderia ser mais pertinente para devolver a Lisboa dois espaços verdes emblemáticos da cidade. O pulmão do Jardim Botânico volta a respirar e a reequilibrar o ecossistema da capital. Viva! Já apertava um ano e meio de saudades deste paraíso que desde o século XVII é um laboratório para quem estuda a flora, com plantas do mundo inteiro. As infra-estruturas foram renovadas, o lago e os caminhos recuperados, há wifi gratuito e um novo anfiteatro para espetáculos ao ar livre. Também a requalificação do Jardim de Santos (Jardim Nuno Álvares) é música para os nossos ouvidos, depois de tantos anos de abandono. A estátua de Ramalho Ortigão continua de olho no Tejo e até parece que o verde ganhou novos tons. Diversão e exercício físico levam miúdos e graúdos a utilizar os novos equipamentos e o ambiente redobrou em vitalidade. 6C Rua da Escola Politécnica, 58 (Príncipe Real)

ome rain or shine, the sweet scent of flowers in bloom drive you out of the house in a, probably biological, desire to reconnect with nature. Spring’s arrival is the ideal time to return two iconic green spaces to the city. At last, the lung that is the Jardim Botânico is starting to breathe again and to rebalance the capital’s ecosystem. For 18 months, the city has been denied this paradise, a laboratory for the study of flora since the 17th century with plants from all over the world. The buildings have been renovated, the pond and paths renewed, free wifi installed and a new amphitheatre built for open-air shows. The renewal of Jardim de Santos is also music to our ears, after being left derelict for so many years. The statue of Ramalho still overlooks the Tagus and even the green seems to have taken on new hues. Fun and exercise attract kids and grown-ups to the new equipment and the environment has been given a new lease of life.
