If you’re not afraid of heights, take the panoramic lift up to the deck and from there you’ll get a view of Lisbon, and further afield, unlike any other. Join an interactive guided tour and along the way you’ll learn about how this city landmark was built in 1966. This 2,000-square-metre former car park is an exclusive gallery dedicated to Portuguese and international contemporary architecture. A Presidência da República inclui um museu que nos conta a história da República Portuguesa e dá-nos a conhecer a vida e as funções dos Chefes de Estado. Em exposição estão os retratos presidenciais e documentos biográficos dos titulares do mais alto cargo da nação. Saiba que por marcação ao sábado realizam-se visitas guiadas ao palácio e jardins. Se uma bandeira verde estiver hasteada indica que o Presidente está no Palácio! 3 The Office of the President of the Republic has a museum that tells the history of the Portuguese Republic and shows the lives and duties of the Heads of State. On display are the presidential portraits and the biographical documents of the holders of the nation’s highest office. Book early and on Saturdays you can join a guided tour of the palace and its gardens.
