Pad-Thai, Neua-Pad-Nam-Mam-Hoy, Gang-Jeed-Sa-Rai-Talay-Kung-Sod são algumas das palavras mágicas que tem que pronunciar para provar os sabores tailandeses do Sukhothai, um dos restaurantes favoritos de quem já foi à Tailândia e ficou a morrer de saudades. Um espaço pequeno, requintado mas descontraído que se intitula uma casa tailandesa de portas abertas a quem viver por (comer) bem. E se não conseguir dizer os nomes, pode sempre pedir pelos números. Tem nome de árvore de bolso mas aqui não se pratica botânica. Foi no Bonsai que muitos lisboetas se iniciaram à gastronomia nipónica, pois este restaurante nasceu quando sashimi e sukiyaki ainda eram palavras misteriosas por terras lusas. Pode ficar a ver o chefe preparar o banquete à sua frente ou escolher uma sala separada, com mesa baixa e chão de “tatamis”, ideal para grupos. No fim é só dizer “Arigatô”. It’s named after a miniature tree but this is not a plant shop. It was at Bonsai that many Lisbonites got their first taste of Japanese cuisine, back at a time when the words ‘sashimi’ and ‘sukiyaki’ were still mysterious hereabouts. You can sit and watch the chef prepare the food before you or opt for a separate room, with a low table and ‘tatami’ floor, ideal for groups. Um pequeno e simpático restaurante em tons tintos, para se jantar com tempo, numa noite de Inverno. E agora tem rodízio de petiscos ao jantar a E10 por pessoa.
