Cada bairro é feito de histórias. Do passado, das casas, dos monumentos mas sobretudo das pessoas. São elas que constroem a paisagem genuína, a personalidade própria de cada lugar. Esta é uma homenagem a quem vive este bairro no seu dia-a-dia. Every neighbourhood is constructed from stories. Of the past, of houses, of monuments and of people. It is they who create the real landscape, the distinct personality of each place. This is a tribute to those for whom this neighbourhood is home.

Encontro-o no meio da brancura da sua loja. Alto, bonito, as sobrancelhas em arco. Faz um silêncio antes de responder a cada pergunta e o que diz vem de dentro. Nada nele é superficial. Fala do ofício de vestir pessoas como a arte de cuidar, acha interessante nas mulheres aquilo que elas não revelam, diz que o blazer é a armadura do século XXI e que aquilo que o move na vida é o amor. Filipe Faísca é, como certamente saberão, um designer de moda de sucesso. Mas isso não parece afectá-lo nem um milímetro porque o essencial, sempre foi e continua a ser, “trabalhar com a alma”. I find him amid the white walls of his shop, tall, handsome and with arched eyebrows. Before replying he thinks carefully and what he says comes from within. Nothing about him is shallow. He speaks of dressing people as the art of caring, thinks what is interesting in women is what they don’t reveal, says that the blazer is the armour of the 21st century and what drives him is love. Filipe Faísca is a successful fashion designer. But it doesn’t seem to have affected him a bit because what matters is and always will be “to put your heart into your work”.
