Trip: Andean Crossing, see contiki.com Reasons for doing the trip? I really wanted to see Machu Picchu, & get to know the local culture. I practiced a bit of Spanish before I left, but the Local Guides & Trip Managers showed me so much more than I could see on my own. Highlights of the trip: Obviously, Machu Picchu, but all the other stuff I wasn’t expecting blew me away: meeting llamas, trying all the food and meeting the friendly locals.
