Day 3: Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo. Explore the modern resort town of Ixtapa or chill in the quaint beach village of Zihuatenajo. The warm waters are perfect for snorkeling, kayaking, fishing and boat trips. Hotel (B,D) Day 4: Ixtapa to Acapulco. Head to the bright lights and nonstop, 24-hour energy of Acapulco Bay! Watch famous death-defying cliff divers and when the sun sets, tap into the nightlife of Mexico’s ultimate party town. Hotel (B)

Day 2: Morelia to Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo. Journey into the never-ending summer of the Mexican Riviera and kick back in the neighboring beach towns of Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo. Hotel (B)

Day 7: Mexico City. Start the day with an excursion to remarkable ancient ruins of Teotihuacan. Then it’s off through “The City of Palaces” where you’ll see a multitude of ancient ruins and colonial-influenced and modern architecture. Later, feast on the city’s urban energy with its sidewalk cafes, bazaars, boutiques, and museums. Hotel (B,D)

Day 8: Mexico City to Merida. Leave behind the charismatic urban colossus of Mexico City and fly to the beautiful white-stone city of Merida. Make a quick trip to Uxmal, with its magnificent ancient pyramids and temples. Then return to Merida for a tour of the city’s superb buildings, palaces and haciendas. Hotel (B,D) Day 9: Merida to Isla Mujeres via Chichen Itza. Take a captivating journey through Mayan history on a guided tour at Chichen Itza – a spectacular ancient ceremonial centre. After lunch, head to the coast, catch a ferry, and touch down on the white-sandy beaches of Isla Mujeres. Hotel (B) Day 10: Isla Mujeres. Fill your day with fun activities like snorkeling tropical reefs, riding a moped around the island, or taking a boat trip to a unique island sanctuary. Hang out in the open-air cafes and stroll the pedestrian streets of this casual, laid-back Caribbean isle. Hotel (B,D) Day 11: Isla Mujeres to Cancun. Leave the little beach island behind and head to modern megaresort of Cancun with its exotic Caribbean splendor, unrivaled shopping and nightlife, and endless outdoor activities.
