Meals Your Food Fund includes a buffet breakfast on most days & lots of 2-course dinners that highlight local dishes like snails, frogs legs & fondue. Use your free nights to get out on the town & try some local restaurants. At lunchtime, we keep it flexible & let you make your own choices. That way you can try what you like, when you like, without being forced to head back to a meeting spot right in the middle of the day.

Where you stay Concept trips are all about mixing it up, so you’ll stay in everything from hotels & cabins, to hostels & special stopovers. Accommodation is twin-share (with a maximum quad-share), almost all with private bathroom facilities.
What’s a Special Stopover? It’s accommodation exclusively for Contiki travellers, managed by our dedicated, onsite crew. We choose unique & traditional places in fantastic locations. Like a 16th century Château in France, a Swiss Chalet at the foot of the breathtaking Alps, an Austrian Gasthof & a beach resort hotel in Corfu (more on pages 36-37). Some have recently been upgraded, plus they have great facilities like big screen plasma TVs, pools, bars, nightclubs & plenty of internet access.

Sightseeing, free time & transport Most of the main sights are included in the cost of your tour (pages 10-11), plus there’s plenty of free time for you to do the things you like. Choose from our optional Explore More activities (pages 12-13) or just take time to chill out, relax & do whatever you like. As with every Contiki tour, you’ll travel on the comfiest coaches out there, all of which are air-conditioned.
