The American Health Care Academy Launches Mobile App for CPR Course

A healthcare training institution, the American Health Care Academy (AHCA), has launched a mobile app that users can download and use to take the different courses given by the institution. The courses are nationally approved and are aimed at providing the right theoretical and practical knowledge to equip others so they can help save lives. AHCA courses are also available on their website at affordable prices. Speaking about the institution’s purpose, the Company Representative said, “A quick look at statistics tells us that more than 480,000 Americans succumb to heart attack or related complications. Cardiovascular disease is the biggest cause of death and the purpose for the introduction of these courses was to train as many people as possible so they know what to do before medical teams arrive. A lot of people may be willing to help but when they don’t know what to do, their good intentions go to waste. We need more good Samaritans with the right First Aid knowledge so they can be the first responders whenever necessary. That way we can all help prevent unnecessary deaths.” The CPR AED certification course is one of the courses AHCA is offering. It covers Child, Adult and Infant techniques for CPR. The topics covered include chocking, recognizing emergencies and deciding to act, the recovery position and how to respond to an unconscious individual. The course also includes training on how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Once the course is complete, the certification is offered and it remains valid for only two years. The skills acquired are very useful in situations where chocking, cardiac arrest, heart attack or stroke are involved.

In response to a question, the Company Representative said, “People have responded very well to the courses we offer and we are currently providing them to more than 10,000 group or corporate clients. The courses are available virtually via video conferencing and also in one-on-one sessions with trainers. Where there is a group interested in the one-on-one training with an instructor, the instructor comes to the group’s location since we partner with different instructors all over the US. We also offer the course in a blended format where clients take the online course and then do the one-on-one skills assessment. Clients can get CPR Certified online in three easy steps. The first step is to pick a specific course they would like to study on the platform and then begin studying it. A test comes after the coursework and the client must pass the test. This means attaining a score of 75 percent or higher. There is room to retake the test as many times as possible until the client passes and at no extra cost. Once the client passes they can print their certification wallet card and the course is complete.
