ritish nationals Tara Hayward and Darren Melton, who tied the knot in Malta on 10th May this year, share their memories with Guide Me. “We met back in 2001 when we were both young college students. We started off as friends but a few years down the line our relationship flourished. We discovered that we shared many interests including travelling, wildlife and history. “When we came to choose somewhere to get married we both knew that it wouldn’t be at home in the UK as we wanted a setting which was unique and breath-taking. We looked at many different countries and options but Malta had everything that appealed to us: stunning scenery, very friendly people and a lot of history. “Once we had chosen the beautiful island of Malta set in the gorgeous Mediterranean Sea, we then searched online for a wedding planner to help plan our special day. “We came across Sarah Young and her team online, and we were instantly impressed by the stunning photographs, professionalism and testimonials displayed on her website. Having made initial contact via email we were sent a wide range of venues and settings to suit all tastes and
desires. Sarah drew up a list of all the options that we could have for our big day and once we had chosen them she then created our amazing wedding package. From there we fell in love with an exotic sea view setting which was absolutely perfect for our dream day. “Being in the UK meant that all communications were done via email, yet Sarah responded to our every question and request in the quickest manner possible which made us feel we were in very good hands. Nothing was ever too much and every detail we requested even 10 months before our big day was noted down and remembered for the day itself. Sarah took us through every step to complete our paperwork, which made everything stress-free and an absolute breeze. “Our special day itself was perfect and one we will never forget. Sarah and her team worked tirelessly with our venue to create such a breath-taking backdrop for our wedding. They were with us every step of the way full of enthusiasm, support and reassurance which ensured the day went better than we could have ever dreamt.
“The catering at our wedding was some of the best food that we and our guests had ever tasted – everyone commented on the portions and quality of each dish. Our photographer was outstanding, creating all of the perfect pictures we requested for our special day and also used his own creativity in capturing our special moments. “Sarah and all her team are truly magical from start to finish. Thanks to them we had the most memorable day that we will treasure forever.”
