What is your line of work? We are a wellness clinic specializing in weight loss and hormone replacement treatment. We provide individualized body analyses, which may include EKG and blood tests, and provide comprehensive diet counseling. We prescribe diet medications or natural supplements deemed best for each individual patient. We also offer vitamin B-12 and Lipo B-Complex injections, and testosterone replacement therapy for men. We can do any kind of lab testing requested by our patients.

Tell me about your team. I am a physician who’s been practicing gastroenterology in the Mid-South for more than 20 years. I also employ an advanced nurse practitioner, Ashley Falkner, FNP, a diet counselor, Terri Gallardo, and a couple of part-time medical assistants.
Why did you choose Southaven for your business? I opened my weight loss practice in August. I chose to establish a weight loss clinic in this area when my patients told me that they had to travel for 20 to 30 miles to go to weight-loss clinics in Tennessee. The city is centralized, and a lot of people from the surrounding area, such as Holly Springs, Byhalia and Horn Lake, look to Southaven for a lot of their needs in terms of their medical care. From my standpoint, the doctors that practice in Southaven have more of a personalized approach to patients, not like a big city. This place still has a small-town feel to it.
How did you get into this line of work? As a gastroenterologist, I often saw people who were struggling with obesity and the effects of the obesity epidemic. Because of the obesity, they had a lot of gastro-intestinal issues. I recognized the need for proper weight-loss counseling and treatment in a significant percentage of my patient
What do business owners considering a move to Southaven need to know? Southaven is a growing and flourishing area. It attracts a lot of clients from surrounding towns. And the Chamber of Commerce is very welcoming and helpful to new business owners.
