Social media whizz Anita Wong of Bommie Media is all over Ealing social media – but hardly ever as just herself. In this week’s Q&A she untangles her various identity threads and gives her verdict about Ealing’s use of social media From Go View London’s Twitter account to the new Ealing Broadway group on Facebook, to your own Bommie Media accounts – how do you tie them all together, and more importantly: how do you avoid replying to yourself? How does the Ealing social media scene compare to other parts of West London? I have been exploring the social media scene outside Ealing for a bit now and I do think Ealing is big on its use. We have some great businesses locally using social media to promote their presence and of course we have Ealing Hour on Twitter, which I actively encourage my clients to partake in. Residents use the Facebook groups really well, promoting events which are going on or selling things they no longer want. Social media is an ever changing landscape and not every platform will suit every business or person, so I would recommend not being afraid of trying them out and seeing how they work for you.
