PRIME MINISTER ANDREW HOLNESS TO ENGAGE JAMAICAN DIASPORA AT BRONX TOWN HALL MEETING
New York, September 9, 2024 — The Jamaican community in New York is set to engage directly with The Most Honourable Andrew Holness, ON, PC, MP, Prime Minister of Jamaica, during a Town Hall Meeting at the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts in the Bronx on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. The Consulate General of Jamaica has organized this event to bring together members of the Jamaican Diaspora and others interested in Jamaica’s future and development.
The Town Hall is anticipated to be a significant gathering where Prime Minister Holness will address a variety of topics relevant to Jamaicans both at home and abroad. This event offers a unique platform for attendees to engage directly with the Prime Minister, discuss issues impacting the diaspora, and explore ongoing initiatives and opportunities in Jamaica.
Joining Prime Minister Holness will be the Honourable Senator Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, and Mrs. Alsion Wilson, O.D., Consul General of Jamaica, New York. Together, they will provide insights into the Jamaican Government’s policies and programs focused on strengthening diaspora ties, enhancing trade relations, and fostering investment opportunities.
