his month is all about women's empowerment, and why not when we celebrate Emirati Women's Day on August 28? Our cover article salutes and honours the achievements of four remarkable Emirati women who have earned a social name for themselves in their respective industries. In the United Arab Emirates, the special day is dedicated to gender equality and women's empowerment. It is significant throughout the UAE as an occasion to recognise the outstanding accomplishments of the country's women. It also serves as a reminder to the rest of the world of the extraordinary achievements the UAE has done in the area of women's rights and equality. Do check out the success stories of these inspiring and powerful Emirati women. This edition features our much-awaited Lighting Powerless 2023. Lighting has the power to transform a space by creating ambience, enhancing colours and textures, and highlighting architectural features. The importance of lighting is profound, not only does lighting affect design, but it also affects the well-being. We are celebrating region's finest lighting experts for their deep understanding of the science and passion behind lighting and how it can transform a setting from ordinary to outstanding.
