Saks High School will hold commencement exercises for 114 seniors at 7 p.m. on Thursday at Jack Stewart Field. Baccalaureate services were May 21 at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Valedictorian is Courtney Duncan. She is the daughter of Willie and Evangeline Duncan and the granddaughter of Rufus Bryant of Anniston and the late Willie Jackson, and Eugene and Rosa Mallard of DUNCAN Anniston. Her awards and honors include: Who’s Who Among American High School Students in Leadership and Service, Who’s Who Among American High School Students in English, Who’s Who Among American High School Students in Science, Who’s Who Among American High School Students in History, nominated into the National Society of High School Scholars, and she was nominated to participate in the Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine. She was a member of SADD (president), Senior Honor Society (president), Spanish Club (vice president), marching, symphonic and jazz bands, drum major, clarinets section leader, and participated in the All-County, All-District and JSU honor bands. She plans to attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham on a Collegiate Honors Scholarship and major in biology as a pre-med student. Salutatorian is Holli Renfroe. She is the daughter of Billy and Robin Johns of Anniston and the granddaughter of Ronnie and Patricia Wilkinson of Eastaboga and Virginia Johns of Anniston. RENFROE Renfroe was chosen Dual History Student of the Year, Honors English Student of the Year, received the Lady Wildcat Award and the Hustle Award for softball, was a member of the All A Honor Roll, Honor Society, Echoes yearbook staff, Fellowship of Christian Students, and the All-County Softball Team (captain). She plans to attend Auburn University on a Leadership Scholarship and an Achievement Scholarship. Historian is Amber Ogle. She is the daughter of Vernon and Pam Ogle. Ogle was a member of the varsity cheerleading squad (captain), a member of the A Honor Roll, National Honor SociOGLE ety, Spanish Club (secretary), earned the Highest Math Average Award and was a dual-enrollment student. She plans to attend Jacksonville State University on a Gem of the Hills Scholarship and major in early childhood
education.

She is the daughter of Rolfe and Nina Reynolds of Alexandria and the granddaughter of George and Emma Kelley of Andalusia and the late Emmett and Amy Reynolds. REYNOLDS Reynolds has received multiple academic awards, was an Alabama Girls State representative, a member of the Principal’s Club, National Honor Society, Math Club, chosen Who’s Who Most Likely to Win a Nobel Prize, selected Student of the Month, plays the piano, and is involved in church activities at CrossRoads Baptist Church.
