Overall Brown said he wants to see improvement in every phase of the game. He knows they are going to be young, but of the 13 seniors who are on the team, 10 started as juniors. “Hopefully, we will improve,” he said. Class 5A, Region 6 Region opponents this year for Moody include Walker, Hayden, Center Point, Mortimer Jordan, Springville, Curry and Pinson Valley. Brown said Pinson Valley and Walker are the two teams to beat in the region. “Center Point won 11 games last year, so you have to throw them in the mix,” Brown said. “It’s a

be to make the playoffs. Make the second season so to speak. Of course, every program has goals higher than that.”

Goals Brown said he would never dream of putting a number on it, but his goal is to try and win a region championship. “I think that is a goal you have to have,” he said. “More importantly, our goal is to be in the playoffs. “Now when we start the season, our goal is to go undefeated and take it one game at a time. We just can’t allow opponents to score on us on big plays, whether it is running or throwing the ball.”
