Building Upon Excellence

As he enters his fourth year as Head of Congressional School, Dr. Edwin P. Gordon has shared four core strategic priorities to take us through 2025. The four priorities build upon our accomplishments of the last three years, taking Congressional to even greater heights as we prepare students for a life of leadership and character, intellectual curiosity, and service to their community.

Continue to promote faculty excellence in teaching and professional development

Sustain excellence in all educational programs

The Arts Initiative

The Congressional School Arts Initiative is a multi-year endeavor launched in September 2021 to bring a renewed focus to the arts and their importance in student learning, growth, and expression.

Congressional has a long legacy of excellence in the arts, both performance and visual, fostered by an excellent faculty and a robust curriculum. The initiative is aimed at growing the program to provide our students and faculty with more opportunities for expression and creativity, as well as even more robust resources and better facilities to support high-quality teaching, deeper learning, and innovative art-making and performances.
