We welcome you to join this interactive learning experience designed especially for healthcare, which will powerfully demonstrate the most appropriate way to apply lean to your process. This master class will teach you how to drive your service and cost improvement strategy forward and unlock further improvements through the application of lean. One of the key tools to do so here is using simulation. Attend this interactive master class to pull your understanding of lean into practical reality in order to: • Identify waste reduction and productivity wins that will affect your bottom line • Understand how to get your lean project off the ground • Enable a positive impact on your workforce’s achievements • Grasp the reality of how to sustain and drive forward your approach to continually save money Methodologies explored include Value Stream Mapping, Single Piece Flow, Pull, First in First out, Mistake Proofing and Visual Management. The wonderful thing about simulation is that you have a chance to learn by making mistakes in a safe environment, under the guidance of expert lean and Six Sigma practitioners. You will discover tools, concepts and techniques to improve the effectiveness and sustainability of you improvements.

This Master Class is lead by three extremely practiced lean-consultants. Hans Klein, PhD in microbiology. As a microbiologist, Hans brings a unique perspective to Process Excellence and lean that enables him to hold discussions with laboratory operators on their own level and earns him the credibility necessary to communicate in this scientifically influenced environment. Dan Johnson, Senior lean-consultant. With a passion for the bigger picture, Dan is a true “value stream” thinker when it comes to lean projects. Dan has an incredibly high creative and innovative skill set that excels equally at the strategic level and in the details of the day-today processes. As a result, Dan’s approach has led to transformational results in several healthcare settings. Paul M. Button, Certified Six Sigma Black belt. A transformational change agent operating on the principle of ‘keep it simple and never accept the status quo’, Paul has demonstrated the endless potential in productivity improvements achieved through the utilisation of lean and Six Sigma.
