QIN LI-WEI Chine – Australie / China – Australia Qin Li-Wei s’est révélé en rempor tant un 2 e Prix au Concours Tchaïkovski de 1998 puis en remportant le Concours Naumburg de New York en 2001.

Il mène depuis une grande carrière internationale et joue en soliste avec les meilleurs orchestres d’Asie, ­d ’­Europe et d’Amérique. En musique de chambre, on peut l’entendre dans les festivals les plus cotés où il joue en compagnie des plus grands artistes.

Professeur au Conser vatoire Yong-Sew Toh de Singapour et Professeur invité à Shanghai et Beijing, il a fondé en 2018 le Festival de violoncelle de Qingdao en Chine.

Qin Li-Wei was first revealed by winning 2 nd Prize at the Tchaikovsky Competition, then 1st Prize at the Naumburg Competition in New York, in 2001. Since then, he has led an important international career, performing as a soloist with many of the world’s most renowned orchestras in Asia, Europe and America.

As a chamber musician, he is a regular guest of top festivals, where he appears with some of the world’s greatest musicians. Qin Li-Wei is Professor at the Yong-Sew Toh Conservatory in Singapore and guest professor in Shanghai and Beijing. In 2018, he founded the Qingdao International Cello Festival in China.

SHAUNA ROLSTON Canada / Canada Très tôt considérée comme une violoncelliste p ­ rodige et invitée à jouer dans le monde entier, Shauna Rolston a étudié avec Pierre Fournier, William Pleeth et Aldo Parisot. Menant une carrière internationale, tant comme soliste que comme chambriste, elle a enregistré de très nombreux CDs et s’est consacrée à la création contemporaine, commandant et créant pas loin de 50 œuvres nouvelles. Elle est Professeure et doyenne du département des cordes à l’Université de Toronto.

Internationally acclaimed, award-winning cellist Shauna Rolston is one of the most passionate and innovative musical voices on the contemporary world stage. She has performed in many of the world’s major concert halls with many of the world’s leading artists; her commitment to contemporary music has led to the commission and creation for her of more than 50 works for cello. She continues to captivate, astonish and delight with her concerts, recordings, and world premieres. Ms. Rolston is Professor of Cello at the University of Toronto.
