NM OIPS ended yet another International Festival in style by holding their inaugural international fashion show in the SUB. The
International Festival, held Thursday afternoon, featured myriad international fare, vendors and performers. Mavel Moreno, proÂgram manÂager at the Office of Inter naÂtional ProÂgrams and StudÂies was quoted by UNM Today as saying, “The stuÂdents are very excited about this event. They see it as an opporÂtuÂnity to give back to UNM by sharÂing aspects of their counÂtry and culÂture with the uniÂverÂsity comÂmuÂnity. Our office is forÂtuÂnate to have them on camÂpus and grateÂful for the supÂport that the StuÂdent Affairs DiviÂsion proÂvides every year in recogÂniÂtion of our interÂnaÂtional population.â€? Cathy Sung, 23, Education major and exchange stu dent from Seoul, South Korea stands on the fringe of the catwalk wearing a spring dress by designer Mara Franklin. Sung will return to Seoul at the end of the semester and said, “I wish I didn’t have to leave, I am going to miss all my friends, I’ve met a lot of good people here.â€?
