Jorge Figueroa es un artista plastico salvadoreño, Reside en Winnipeg a mas de 36 años. Sus obras han viajado por varias ciudades de Canadá, así como a varios países alrededor del mundo, donde exhibe sus creaciones produzidas durante sus basta experiencia en bellas artes, sus innumeras actividades son reconocidas en la comunidad latina de Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Una de las exhibiciones mas significativas en su vida fue “Retorno a sus raíces”, la cual tubo lugar a su regreso a su tierra natal el Salvador, donde el artista hizo una retrospectiva sobre sus origenes, con trazos y pigmentos de pintura acrílica donde sus creaciones tratan de trasmitir emociones atravez de sus dibujos, en los que plasma viajes desde lo mas profundo de las raizes humanas y va más allá de lo que una simple mirada pueden apreciar.

Entre sus obras podemos conocer su arte multifaceta y su constante experimentación con nuevos materiales; En su trabajo como escultor a desarrollado projectos con Madera, basalto (Roca volcánica, de color negro verdoso), mármol, granito, metales y fibras sintéticas.

Jorge Figueroa is a Salvadoran visual artist who has lived in Winnipeg for over 36 years.
His works have travelled to several cities in Canada, as well as several countries around the world, where he exhibits his creations produced during his vast experience in fine arts. We recognize his multiple activities accomplished in the Latino community of Winnipeg, Manitoba. One of the most remarkable exhibitions of his life was "Return to the roots", which took place on his return to his homeland El Salvador, where the artist made a retrospective on his origins, with brushstrokes and acrylic paint pigments where his creations experiment to transmit emotions through his drawings, in which he captures journeys from deep within the human roots and goes beyond what a simple look can appreciate.

Among his works we can get to know his multifaceted art and his constant experimentation with new materials; In his work as a sculptor he has developed projects with wood, basalt (volcanic rock, greenish black in color), marble, granite, metals, and synthetic fibers.




PERFIL PROFESIONAL • Larga trayectoria de trabajo constante y dinámico en el campo de las artes visuales. • Durante 1966-68 completó estudios de pintura y escultura. • En los años 1970-73 estudió en Japón y Europa y en 1980 recibió un Máster en escultura en medios como piedra, madera, metal y otros. • Destacado en técnicas pictóricas. • Altamente calificado en las áreas de docencia y programación de cursos de escultura, dibujo.

PROFESSIONAL PROFILE • Long history of constant and dynamic work in the visual arts field. • During 1966-68 completed studies in painting and sculpting • In the years 1970-73 studied in Japan and Europe and in 1980 received a Master in sculpture in mediums such as stone, wood, metal and others. • Excelled in pictorial techniques. • Eighty qualified in the areas of teaching and programming courses for sculpture, drawing.
