A perfect location, unrivalled cargo diversity and excellent facilities are all critical assets in the Port of Tilbury’s successful offering. And as managing director Perry Glading puts it, top-quality service goes without saying. But Tilbury’s success is also being further developed and built on modal choice, a full range of portcentric and ‘green’ options, proactive networking and creative thinking. A common theme of the recent economic downturn has been shippers’ willingness to take a fresh look at their logistics and supply chains – and that, says Perry Glading, has led to a renewed focus on what Tilbury can offer.
