Key highlights from the CV Show

FORD

Ford had the largest stand at the CV Show, as we were offered the first glimpses of the new Transit E-Custom and E-Courier, both due in the very near future. Our cover star, the new Ford Ranger, was there in various guises, as were a number of Ford specialist conversions. Ford Pro was also very much to the fore as the brand focuses on helping commercial operators transition to an electric future, something we asked Mandy Dean, Director, Commercial Vehicles, Ford of Britain & Ireland, about. ISUZU

NISSAN

Nissan returned to the CV Show for the first time in a few years to give us a look at the new Townstar EV, a replacement for the hugely successful eNV200. There was also an opportunity to view the other two vans in Nissan’s van line-up, the Primastar and Interstar. We also put some questions to Nissan’s Allan Newman

Isuzu, whose D-Max retained our Pick-Up award this year, was another star of the CV Show, with a stand that featured a myriad of D-Max models including conversions, a sector that Isuzu is very strong in, and several new electric vehicles. Isuzu’s Neil Scott told us how the brand’s use of social media and sponsorship is spreading the D-Max message far and wide.

OHM

The OHM 35 BEV is an advanced chassis design for electric vehicle integration with a unique two- tonnes payload capacity, a light-weight chassis, a compact electrification system and high battery density.

Watt Electric Vehicles and ETRUX

Commercial vehicle specialist ETRUX and electric vehicle pioneers Watt Electric Vehicle Company exhibited a prototype WATT eCV1 3.5t electric light commercial vehicle chassis cab at the CV Show, with body conversion from first development partner, ETRUX

MEV

MY Electric Vehicle introduced the 100% electric MEV CARGO and PICK-UP, which are compact urban movers. It’s designed to give the user rear space and easy access to small parking spaces, enhancing your access to tight and restricted zones.
