Daily has the power to deliver for your fleet

CC&V: Iveco launched the all-new eDaily at this year’s CV Show. As more electric vans enter the marketplace, why should SMEs consider an eDaily over its rivals?

Mike Cutts: eDaily offers the widest line-up of models in its segment, and with class-leading 3.5T and up to 15kw on board power, there are many reasons to choose IVECO. For the SME we offer specific connectivity packages with epro and support with charging through our CPO partner, Pod Point. This also offers remote connectivity via a smart phone app for the smaller fleet operators.

To assist with funding we offer HP at 2.5% and contract hire via our dealer network.

CC&V: What are your hopes for eDaily sales this year, and will supply of your new model be an issue?

In 2023 we are focusing on supplying seed units into the market for customers to test and learn, with the aim to secure larger volume commitments in 2024. Lead times are competitive, at nine months for new factory orders.

CC&V: Do you expect your eDaily chassis cab and conversions range to be a good fit in the electric conversions sector ?

Our truck-based chassis is perfect for conversion, with the modular battery system giving choice to the customer on the application. The class-leading 15kW epto in both electrical and mechanical operation allows for a wide range of conversions.

The body builder mounting points are the same as the diesel Daily and our body builder partners already have access to the technical data of our eDaily chassis cab, which can also be ordered as a crew cab, chassis cowl and minibus.

CC&V: For many SMEs, a diesel is still the go-to engine for their commercial fleet. Your diesel Daily has plenty of admirers, so will Iveco be investing in any cleaner diesel technology for Daily in the coming years?

We will launch Euro 7 diesel for Daily in line with the future legislation.

CC&V: While full-electric vans offer a solution for some customers, do you think that other forms of power, such as hydrogen, may offer a better solution long term?

We are developing hydrogen powertrains for the Daily and will look to launch this in the future to complement the new eDaily range.

For longer distance and heavier payload missions hydrogen will offer a great alternative.
