Mildred L. Aucoin, 83

NORTHBOROUGH - Mildred L. Aucoin of Northborough passed away on July 13, 2022 at the age of 83 years old. She was the beloved mother to Kevin P. Aucoin and Denise M. Aucoin with whom she resided. Mildred was born and raised in Roxbury, the youngest of four daughters to the late Peter and Mabel (MacEachern) Blanchard.

In addition to her children Mildred is survived by a sister, Nancy Aucoin of Waltham; a sister-in-law Mary Forman of Thousand Oaks, CA; a godson David Aucoin of Waltham, several nieces and nephews. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Ralph in 1992 as well as her sisters, Elizabeth Armstrong, Helen Whapham and Irene Mathews.

Ronald L. DeHart, 84

SOUTHBOROUGH - Ronald Lee DeHart passed away peacefully at home in Southborough, MA, on July 9, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. Ron was born on May 4th, 1938, in Tarkio, Missouri, where he was raised.

Ron is survived by his devoted wife, Susan Porada; his children, Valerie Baker (Jeff), Van DeHart (Cindi), Vincent DeHart (Tamayco), Ronald DeHart (Dawn) and Vanessa Williams (Jason). He also leaves behind his loving grandchildren, Jakin, Madison, Cole, Carson, Dane, Christina, Olivia and Stephanie, and one great grandson, Vincent. Also, his sisters, Karen Huff and Jeannie Moeckl along with her husband, Dan and many nieces and nephews. He made many strong and lasting relationships over the years and will be fondly remembered and missed by his dear friends and neighbors. Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Vincent and Doloris DeHart; his sister, Carol Renae, and ex-wife, Patricia.

Marie J. Letiecq, 80

NORTHBOROUGH - Marie J. (Poirier) Letiecq, 80, of Northboro, passed away peacefully in her home while surrounded by family on Sunday, July 17, 2022.

Marie was married for 44 years to the late Robert K. Letiecq who passed away in 2004. She is survived by her son, Dana R. Letiecq and his wife, Doreen of Millbury and two grandchildren, Danielle Letiecq of Sandwich, MA and Benjamin Letiecq of Stoneham, MA; two great grandchildren, Lilah Bartlett and Marceline Bartlett both of Sandwich, MA. She was born in Amqui, Quebec daughter of the late Louis and Corinne (Huet) Poirier and is also predeceased by a son, Dean Letiecq who passed away in 1995.

Joyce E. Brescia-DeRosa, 83

SHREWSBURY - Joyce E. (Johnson) Brescia-DeRosa, 83, of Shrewsbury, MA, passed away peacefully July 13, 2022 at Knollwood Nursing Home, after a period of declining health. Born December 2, 1938, to the late Albert and Edna (Nurse) Johnson. She was the beloved wife of Vincent Brescia, who predeceased her in 1983. She later married Eolo DeRosa of Waltham who predeceased her in 2011.

She leaves behind a son, Vincent Brescia of Shrewsbury and a daughter, Brenda O’Brien, and her husband James of Shrewsbury. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kevin O’Brien and his girlfriend Amanda Moninski of Westboro and Lauren Chandonnet and her husband Greg of Shrewsbury, a 5 month old great-granddaughter, Alison Chandonnet, and her sister Arlene Keating of Florida.

Thomas L. Abele, 78

SHREWSBURY - Thomas L. “Tom” Abele, 78, of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Massachusetts General Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska on July 26, 1943 to the late George and Evelyn (Trout) Abele.

In addition to his wife Fran, Tom is survived by his sons, Travis J. Abele and Jared T. Abele.

Beverly A. Maroti, 79

SHREWS BURY - Beverly A (Sloan) Maroti, 79, of Shrewsbury, died peacefully at home with her children by her side on Saturday, July 16th. She was born the daughter of Clara M. (Sargentelli) Salatka and Richard J. Sloan. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 35 years, Endre S. Maroti, her stepfather George Salatka and stepmother Lucille Sloan.

Bev will be missed terribly by her children; Cheryl Dionne and her husband Dan of Lincolnton, NC, Michael Shugrue and his wife Keri of Sterling, Lisa Rosum and her husband Robert of Shrewsbury and Lynn Shugrue of Boylston. She will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Nicholas, Ryan and James Schramm, Dakota Shugrue, Sabrina and Brendan McDuffie and a greatgrandson, Jay Schramm. She also leaves her sisters, Marie Mesale of Grafton, Charlotte Penney of Grafton, and Lucille Lee of Harvard and many nieces and nephews.

Gerald Mastro, 89

SHREWSBURY - Gerald “Jerry” Mastro, 89 of Shrewsbury, formerly Worcester, passed away Thursday, July 14th 2022, reuniting with the “love of his life” and wife for 63 years Aldona Mastro who passed away last December 29th.

Jerry is survived by; a son, John G. Mastro of Charlton, a daughter, Nancy A. (Mastro) Norris of London, UK; three grandchildren, Shanah A. (Mastro) Elliot of Worcester, James Mastro of Auburn, and Elena N. Norris of North Grafton; six great grandchildren, Clark E. Elliot, Grant G. Elliot, Isla N. Sanabria, Benjamin E. Mastro, Jack A. Elliot and A. Gian Sanabria; a sister, Christine (Mastrogiacomo) Riggieri; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. In addition to his love Aldona, and his parents, he was predeceased by a grandson, Edward P. Norris in 2013, a brother Frank Mastrogiacomo in 1998, and a sister Teresa (Mastrogiacomo) Hamrin in 2004.

SHREWSBURY - Ann Marie Corio, 78, a lifelong Shrewsbury resident, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 19th, 2022, with the ones she loved gathered at her bedside. Ann was born in Worcester, the daughter of Henry and Josephine (DeQuatro) Corio.

Ann is survived by her two sons, Gary M. Samela with whom she lived, and Brian Samela and his wife, Nancy of Altamont, NY; two grandchildren, Lindsay, and Stephen; Her longtime companion James A. Madaio; other extended family members and friends.

Paul M. Fernandes, 55

HUDSON - Paul M. Fernandes, 55, of Hudson, MA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on July 17, 2022 after a period of declining health.

Paul leaves his wife Michele L. (Collins) Fernandes; his son Noah B. Fernandes; his parents, Antonio and Maria (Figuerido) Fernandes; his brother, Mario Fernandes and his wife Toni along with 10 aunts and uncles, 24 cousins and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Paternal Grandparents, Manuel and Anna Fernandes; his maternal grandparents Antonio and Ermelinda Figuerido; his father and mother-in-law Allan and Barbara Collins and two uncles.

Paul was born in Santa Maria, the Azores of Portugal. He emigrated to the states at the age of 5 in 1971. Raised by his parents in Hudson he attended local schools and was a 1984 graduate of Hudson High School. Following high school he went on to Worcester State University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science. Stephen R. DeNorscia, 57

BOULDER, COLO. - Stephen R. DeNorscia, 57, passed away unexpectedly on July 4th in Boulder, Colorado. Stephen was born in Waltham, MA and grew up in Southborough, MA. Along with his parents Carole and Ralph DeNorscia, originally from Southborough, MA, currently residing in Marlborough, MA, he is survived by his 3 brothers and spouses, Michael & Robyn DeNorscia of Chesterfield, MO, Kevin & Justine DeNorscia of Holden, MA, Kenneth & Jane DeNorscia of Holden, MA, his sister Tracey DeNorscia of Southborough and his good friend Linda Stowell of Denver, CO, As well as, many nieces, nephews, cousins, EASTON, MD. - Michael (“Mike”) J. Jacobs passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at the age of 81, surrounded by his loving family. Mike was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and grew up in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Maureen A. Jacobs, his daughter, Melanie Barney and her husband Bruce Barney, his son, Jason Jacobs, his grandchildren whom he adored, Jack Barney, Deanna Jacobs, Griffin Barney and Nicholas Jacobs, and his beloved niece and goddaughter Cordelia Nemeyer. Mike was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Edith Jacobs and his two brothers, Paul and Richard Jacobs.

Jaclyn P. Bean, 60

NORTHBRIDGE - Jaclyn P Bean, 60, of Northbridge, MA passed away peacefully at home with her husband Joe on June 30, 2022, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Rose and Jack Greenip born in Hackensack NJ and grew up in Hudson Ma.

She was the beloved wife of Joseph Bean of Northbridge and loving mother of their 3 doggies (Oliver, Charlie, and Bailey). She leaves behind her sister Debbie Iampietro of Conway, NH, brothers John Greenip Jr and his wife Laurie of Cohasset, MA, and Jeffrey Greenip and his wife Jamie of Cooper City, FL. She was a special aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and a special friend to many.

Diana G. Nolletti, 79

MARLBOROUGH - Diana Gail (Laney) Nolletti of Marlborough, MA passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning of July 17, 2022 at the age of 79. Born on November 15, 1942, she is survived by her husband of 52 years, Arthur E. Nolletti, Jr. and her beloved daughter, Alexandra Elizabeth Nolletti.

She was the eldest child of Alfred H. Laney and Lessie Lois (Brannon) Laney of El Dorado, Arkansas, and is survived by her siblings David Michael Laney of North Carolina and Janice Claire Watkins of Arkansas. She is also survived by her two nieces Laura Virginia Clopper of Georgia and Melanie Melissa Elliott of Oregon, and her nephew David Jacob Laney of Texas. She was predeceased by her nephew, Lawrence Wade Watkins.

A graduate of Centenary College in Louisiana, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree, She was then awarded a Woodrow Wilson Scholarship for graduate work in English Literature at the University of Wisconsin and served as a teaching assistant at the University, earning a Master’s Degree. It was there she met and married her future husband, Arthur. In Ohio she taught one year at Cayahoga Community College.

Throughout their marriage, she and her husband shared many interests, rarely missing Sunday evening programs on WGBH, the public television station. She also was an avid reader of historical novels and mysteries and introduced Arthur to several her favorite authors. At Framingham State University, she was an assistant to Dr. Mary Prassard, after which she worked in the Admission’s office until she retired in June 2021.

She will be remembered for her kindness, loyalty, common sense, gentle humor, and steadfast nature. She never bore grudges and always sought the best in human nature.

HUDSON - Helena F. (Figueiredo) Cabral, 93, long time resident of Hudson, MA, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. She was predeceased by her husband Manuel Pereira Cabral in 1998.

She leaves her children Jose Vicente Cabral of Hudson, MA and his partner Dave Mollo of Grafton, MA; Maria G. Koral and her husband Stephen of Bolton, MA; Josephina Cabral and her partner Pamela Clowes of Clinton, MA; Tony L. Cabral and his wife Terri of Tampa, Florida; Teresa F. Wisuri and her husband Bernie of Hudson, MA and Anna M. Goulet and her husband Paul of Marlborough, MA. Helena is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, Kristen Murphy and her husband Patrick; Carissa Koral; Joshua Cabral, Regina Jusseaume and her husband Chad; Eric Cabral, Brenton Koral and his wife Amy; Andrew Goulet and his wife Samantha; 7 great grandchildren, Addison and Adriann Murphy; Brayden and Sophia Koral, A.J. and Elaina Goulet; Geneva Jusseaume along with other relatives and many friends. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Louis and Joao Loura.

Helena was born and raised in Santa Maria, Azores of Portugal, daughter of the late Antonio and Maria (Figueiredo) Loura. She emigrated to the states and resided in Hudson, MA since 1967. She was employed as an assembler by Data General in Westborough, MA and later NEC located in Boxborough, MA until her retirement. She was a member of Saint Michael Parish in Hudson and also long-time member of the Hudson Portuguese Club.

Helena had so many interests throughout her life but her exquisite way of telling stories, especially her weekly readings to all the family which included poems, prayer verses, reading the Portuguese Newspaper, just to name a few, was a joy to all her family. She always looked forward to the family gathering every Sunday at her home for dinner and usually a few stories to entertain her family. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, writing, crocheting and knitting. For her family and friends and all who knew and loved her, she leaves the memory of a spirited strong personality and the most loving smile, her greatest gift to all of them.

HUDSON - Joseph J. Martin, of Hudson, died Thursday, July 14, 2022. He was the son of the late Thomas J. and Madeline A. (Belmore) Martin, and the husband of Patricia A. Martin. He was predeceased by his son, Stephen M. Martin.

Joe is survived by his wife, Pat, his daughter, Kerrie A. Martin McAllister of Holliston, his sister Millissa M. Manning of FL., his grandchildren, Patrick E. McAllister of Burlington, VT and Hillary M. McAllister Bove and her husband, Greg N. Bove, of Middlesex, VT. Joe was excitedly anticipating the arrival of his great-grand-child to be, Baby Bove, at the time of his passing. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Veronica M. McDonough and many loving nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his sisterin-law Lorraine C. Galvin and his brothers-in-law Karl Manning, Peter Galvin and Richard J. McDonough.
